RDTM 2025 to be held in Jaipur from September 12 to 14

Jaipur, September 3, 2025: The fifth edition of the Rajasthan Domestic Travel Mart (RDTM) 2025 Stakeholders’ Meet, jointly organized by the Federation of Hospitality and Tourism of Rajasthan (FHTR) and the Department of Tourism, Government of Rajasthan, was successfully held at ITC Rajputana, Jaipur. The event was graced by Chief Guest Mr. Rajesh Yadav, Principal Secretary, Department of Tourism, Rajasthan, and Mrs. Rukmani Riar, Commissioner, Department of Tourism, Rajasthan. Other distinguished dignitaries included Mr. Apoorv Kumar, Former President, FHTR; Mr. Kuldeep Singh Chandela, President, FHTR; Mr. Surendra S. Shahpura, Senior Vice President, FHTR; and CA Virendra S. Shekhawat, Honorary Secretary, FHTR.

The meet witnessed the participation of numerous experts, industry leaders, and representatives from institutions connected with the tourism and hospitality sector. Discussions focused on the direction, framework, and importance of the upcoming Rajasthan Domestic Travel Mart 2025 for the tourism industry.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Rajesh Yadav, Principal Secretary, Department of Tourism, Rajasthan, said:
“Rajasthan has always been at the heart of India’s unique tourism experiences, and it will continue to remain so. As per 2023–24 statistics, Rajasthan ranks fifth among domestic and international tourist preferences, contributing 7–8% in both categories. The state government has also implemented special schemes for the hospitality sector. Now is the time to promote rural tourism and encourage the younger generation to join hands in taking Rajasthan’s tourism forward.”

On this occasion, CA Virendra S. Shekhawat, Honorary Secretary, FHTR, said:
“FHTR is the apex body of Rajasthan’s tourism industry, supported by the Hotels and Restaurants Association of Rajasthan and the Rajasthan Association of Tour Operators. The organisation has always played a leading role in promoting tourism—on the one hand, advocating policy with the government, and on the other, showcasing Rajasthan’s diverse tourism products to the hospitality industry.”

Sharing his views, Mr. Kuldeep Singh Chandela, President, FHTR, said:
“The tourism fraternity is like a family, strengthened by everyone’s contribution. We need to establish Tourism research institutes in this sector to educate students and raise awareness. I express my gratitude to the government for providing FHTR with an international platform. With roadshows and international promotions held before RDTM, Rajasthan’s tourism has already reached new heights.”

Addressing the gathering, Mrs. Rukmani Riar, Commissioner, Department of Tourism, Rajasthan, said:
“Between 2019 and 2025, the tourism sector has witnessed remarkable growth—its contribution to the nation’s GDP has increased by 20%, while expenditure has decreased by 9% during this period. FHTR has actively participated in 25 major programs in India and 5–6 key programs at the international level. Now, it is time to effectively position the Rajasthan Domestic Travel Mart on the global stage.”

It is noteworthy that the fifth edition of RDTM will be held in Jaipur from September 12 to 14, 2025. The event is being organized with the support of prestigious institutions in the hospitality and tourism sector, including the Indian Heritage Hotels Association (IHHA), Hotels and Restaurants Association of Rajasthan (HRAR), Rajasthan Association of Tour Operators (RATO), Indian Association of Tour Operators (IATO), Association of Domestic Tour Operators of India (ADTOI), Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA), Global Association of Events and Hospitality Professionals, and the Travel Agents Association of India (TAAI).
