IATO ORGNISED OLD DELHI HERITAGE & FOOD WALK ON SUNDAY, THE 7TH APRIL 2024

 

IATO organized an Old Delhi Heritage & Food Walk on Sunday, the 7th April 2024 to show our members the rich Heritage and Culture of Old Delhi dating back of Mughal Empire and British time and to enjoy delicacies of Old Delhi, informed Mr. Rajiv Mehra, President IATO

The initiative was taken by the IATO Sports, Recreation and Culture Committee under the supervision of Mr. Sanjay Razdan, Hony. Secretary and EC Liaison and Mr. Ravi Shankar Singh, Convener of the committee supported by the committee members Mr. Sunil Mishra, Mr. Harish Mathur, Mr. P. Vijayasarathy, Mr. Deepak Manwani and conducted by Mr. Sudhir Joshi and Nishta Joshi of Walkathon Tours.

50 Members of IATO joined for the Heritage walk who were divided into two groups. Walk started from Jama Mosque gate no. 3 and the walk passed through the narrow bylanes going through Kinari Bazaar and on to Chandni chowk, Sis Ganj Gurudwara continuing towards Town Hall and finally ended at Khari Bawli spice market from where e-rickshaws were arranged back to Jama Masjid.

En-route members enjoyed old Delhi delicacies like Samosa Jalebi at the famous Jalebi wala, Bedmi Poori, chholey with Lassi at the famous Shiv Mishtan Bandar, Choley Bhatoore and Rabri Falooda at Gianis as per their choice.

All those members who joined were extremely happy and enjoyed the heritage walk and desi delicacies.
